Hello! I just moved here from Freedom Mobile on the 34$ promo plan and I noticed that 5G isn't working, It's enabled on my phone, and I have an iPhone 13 Pro Max. I don't understand, I'm 2KM of 2 towers 1 Bell and 1 Telus, I thought that would be enough to give me 5G? But It appears not?
I'm just very confused

I got the 5G Tag but not the 5G speeds, it's about 3-4mbps on my end

I tried doing a speed test and it gave me 4mbps on "5G", now people are saying it's down? I picked a great day to move to Public Mobile lmao

to me, 5G does not matter, it is the speed that counts
you are connected to 4G LTE? Try some speed test, if you get over 100Mbps or close to 200Mpbs, it is good "5G speed". Not bad to leave it like that to save power

@ChrisTiv7 - Where are you located? There are some spots that don't have 5G but LTE-Advanced. LTE-A & 5G NSA are similar to speed, but here is a coverage map of Telus explaining more of what coverage there is: https://www.telus.com/en/mobility/network/coverage-map
Also, carriers have to buy out bands and in this case, Telus & Bell haven't bought out bands for 5G in your area, but they did for LTE.
