No Purchase Necessary. To enter entrants must be an existing Public Mobile customer. Entrants must complete and submit the online form located at https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSdocpIny8fpE3xae7g26SzP4_HDCWsQ5W6msFugwlsj5I_xQ/closedform
Only one entry per person accepted. No other form of participation is accepted. In the event of a dispute on the entrant identity, the person who is the holder of the email address specified on the online form will be deemed to be the entrant.
Contest runs Tuesday, February 14 at 4:00pm Eastern Standard to Tuesday, February 21 at 3:00pm Eastern Standard.
To be eligible, entry must be received on or before end of contest closing date. To be eligible, you must be an existing TELUS Mobility customer and Canadian resident 18 years of age or older. Contest not open to employees of TELUS Corporation (“TELUS”), its affiliated companies or subsidiaries, its sales agents, its advertising and promotional agencies, and members with whom they are domiciled.
By accepting these Contest Rules, entrants agree to that any and all liability related to this contest by TELUS is limited to the value of the Prize(s) as defined hereinafter.
There will be three (3) winners in total. Each winner will receive the following prize:
The winner’s one-time 5GB data add on will appear on the winner’s invoice and account each month for a period of twelve (12) months. Winner is responsible for the payment of any additional service add-ons or overages. If the winner terminates their services before the end of the twelve (12) month period any credits for the remaining months will be cancelled and no substitute prize will be provided.
Prize(s) must be accepted as awarded and with no substitutions, is/are not transferable unless set out in the Contest Rules and cannot be exchanged with TELUS for cash. TELUS reserves the right to substitute the Prize with a Prize of equivalent value if such prize becomes unavailable for any reason. The chances of winning are dependent upon the total number of eligible entries received.
A random draw for all 3 Prizes will take place at the TELUS office located at 25 York Street, Toronto, Ontario, M5J 2V5 on or about February 22, 2023 at approx. 3:00pm ET by a TELUS representative. Selected entrant will be notified by telephone and/or e-mail. No telephone contact or correspondence will be entered into except with the selected entrant. If the selected entrant cannot be reached within four (4) business days, or if the selected entrant does not meet any of the contest requirements, another entrant will be selected from the remaining eligible entries.
In order to win, the selected entrant must correctly answer unaided a mathematical skill-testing question and will be required to sign a standard release form. If the selected entrant is under the age of majority in his/her province of residence, his/her parent or legal guardian must read and accept these Contest Rules. Failure to answer the skill-testing question correctly, comply with the Contest Rules or sign and return the release form within seven (7) days of receipt will result in disqualification and another entry will be selected until the Prize is awarded.
By entering the contest, entrants consent to the use of their names, city of residence, photograph, voice and/or image for publicity purposes in all media used by TELUS, without payment or compensation. Entrants agree to TELUS’ use of the entrants’ personal information that may include contacting you regarding limited time offers, promotional offers and/or surveys. Full details are as described in TELUS’ privacy policy located at telus.com/privacy.
Any litigation respecting the conduct or organization of a publicity contest may be submitted to the Régie des alcools, des courses et des jeux for a ruling. Any litigation respecting the awarding of a Prize may be submitted to the Régie only for the purpose of helping the parties reach a settlement.
All entries become the property of TELUS. TELUS assumes no responsibility for lost, stolen, or damaged entries. TELUS reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to change, cancel or suspend this contest without prior notice. Entries are subject to verification and will be declared invalid if they are illegible, mechanically reproduced, mutilated, forged, falsified, altered or tampered with or unlawful in any way. Entries submitted by unauthorized means will be disqualified. In the event that it has been determined that an entry has been made in an manner not sanctioned by these rules and/or an entrant has submitted more than the number of entries permitted by these rules, the entrant and all of his/her entries will be disqualified. Entrants agree to abide by the contest rules and the decisions of the contest judges, which are final. This contest is subject to all applicable laws and regulations.
All entrants that are customers of TELUS at the time of entry and/or at the time of Prize award must have their TELUS accounts in good standing (with a current account balance that is no more than 30 days past due) in order to be eligible to win the Prize.

@J_PM I'll also add that perhaps an edit is in order for the value of this prize, i.e., should be $75 (or $50 for Points) and not $45 if 5GB is being awarded?
edit: Nice to know that the add-on data prize won't expire as mentioned in the terms/conditions for those lucky enough to win!

Thank you for the clarifications.
Would you mind editing the third paragraph of the contest description, because it still lists 5 lucky winner instead of 3 lucky winners.
Many PM users who have viewed this contest announcement since Tuesday may erroneously believe that there are actually 5 prizes to be won rather than 3 prizes unless they clicked on the spoiler link to read the contest rules.

@Patchio Good catch. Rules are correct! 3 lucky winners, each prize is 5GB of data. Typically the add-on is used first. I checked with our self serve team, as I noticed similar questions around expiry. The data should not expire on the account after 12 months. However we've included a timeline for clarity on when the data was applied to the account.

I'm confused.
The third paragraph describing the contest mentions 5 lucky winners, while the contest rules section mentions there are 3 winners in total.
Which is it, 3 total winners OR 5 total winners?
Additionally, if the 5GB data add-on expires in 12 months, how will this affect users who still have non-expiring free data add-ons (collected from previous promotions and giveaways) in their accounts?
Would the expiring data add-on be given priority and used up first?

Ok. I have all Apple Products and we have 2 appleID's in the house. My Telus.net email is gmail and all other emails is the house are gmail. Therefore I have numerous google logins. But since I don't know what the process is by using the google login....what am I losing by doing that sign on?....I won't do it. And the contest clearly states that, that is the process. I don't get that iPhone users....can do the google sign on what is restricting them because they have an AppleID? And non-mobile users??? not a user then why would they want 5GB???? It's non Gmail users that are the losers here.
The real point is.....this contest is not inclusive of all PM paying customer account holders.
Or people with privacy and data tracking concerns where they can at least have some control over it.

Of course it would all be valid @J_PM . I know that. It's just the usual problem of copying standardized text. This is Public Mobile. The rules say Telus. We're not eligible according to the letter of the rules. If you want to dissolve Public Mobile and roll it into Telus Mobility as your recent press release said about everything being under the wing of Telus Mobility then that makes this thing called Public Mobile a fictional, non-existent entity. But I'm not a high-powered Telus corporate lawyer.

I started to do it. Then my google login showed up. Then I am thinking what am I getting into and what information am I giving away?. So I did not and will not pursue. Seems unfair as we are not all with a google account and even if you are, you can apply and not be a customer. Makes more sense to log into your My Account or the Community although non customers can be in the community but more of a chance they would be over a google login.

Nice to see a new contest! 12 month expiry for the prize is new, hope this isn't the new standard for all future data addon prizes.

Google or Community Account doesn’t verify you as a customer with an account to add the 5gb to.
@CountyDownIeUk , I thought I was doing something wrong when I clicked on the link & google page opened asking me to sign into google! I don’t have a goggle account so that leaves me out! I agree it doesn’t verify me as a customer!
