Good morning @cortez,

thanks for reaching out to us! Good question - please allow me to explain.

Account A is your aunts

Account B is yours

Account C is your uncles

If account A refers account B, you will both earn 25$. If account A then refers account C, both will earn 25$ each. So yes, the 25$ is stackable - as long as you refer people, you'll get 25$ each! 🙂

@samdroid thank you so much for your patience! We're currently experiencing a small delay but I can assure you that we have received your private message and someone will get back to you shortly.

Kind regards,

Mary

Hi

Since the start of the $25 referral campaign, I have been able to refer 7 friends. However, I only got credits for 2 friends ($50) , I am yet to receive credit for the remaining 5 friends ($125). Why is this the case? My total available credit should be $175.

Syed one of your moderators promised to help resolve this and asked me to send message by Monday if it has not been resolved, until now I haven't received any response from Syed or any other Moderator, this is not nice at all and very disappointing.

In addition some of the new subscribers I referred have been complaining about the Alberta number code alloted to them (the 825......) , people can't reach them , this code doesn't work well at all and it's quite frustrating.

I have been on Public Mobile since February and usually when you have a problem and you make it known in the community, you can help as swift as possible. But in the last weeks I have not been happy with Public Mobile service , it's quite frustrating when you send a message and no one responds to you, I am considering changing to Koodo, I got a very good offer from them but I turned it down because I am passionate about PM.

Something is wrong somewhere, not impressed at all

So, as a recommendation to everyone, print this out and take to the Walmart or Wow Mobile or London Drugs, and tell them you want the SIM card, without activation.

Yes - Aunt gets $50, and you and your uncle will get $25 plus they will get $2 autopay if enabled. To avoid potential issues, make sure you complete the port, if any, on your aunt's line before you use her number to refer others

I will be activating two new sim cards online this evening, one for my Aunt and one for my Uncle. I plan on referring my Aunt and them use her account to refer my Uncle. Will this give my Aunt's new account a $50 credit and both me and my Uncle $25?

So I guess my quesitons are does the bonus stack and is my Aunt's brand new account able to participate in this offer minutes after I create her account?

You can only have one line per account, so they'd need their own account anyways. (Each account has to have a different email address associated with it.) But then you can refer away when your friend signs up!

Yes they can sell just the SIM card.  Did they?

I signed up just today. We will see how it goes. The folks at London Drugs were unsure if they could just sell me the sim card.

He registered online and added my # in the required space but all I see in my rewards for "refer a friend" is 1$ reward. His telephone # is nowhere to be seen on my side.

Thank you, it just a little unsettling since you see the other rewards come up right away but no 25$ referral reward. Is there any way to see the initial application to make sure there was no mistake?

As the referrer you should see your friend's phone number in self serve under My Rewards > Refer a Friend. If their number is there, then you can be pretty confident you'll see the $25 in your account balance when you get up tomorrow morning.

Edit: that's assuming your friend signed up online, as pointed out above.

@kraftyk, to get the $25/$25 deal, the friend must activate online themself, ie not at the store where they bought the SIM card.  If the activation was done in store, then only the $10 reward is granted to the friend, the original subscriber does not get $25, but in either case does get $1/30 days of continued friend subscription.

Ours was a Wal-mart instore activation.

The employee told us the $25 credit each was only if we got a plan with Data. We just have talk and text.  Not a total loss for us because we did get $10. and a free Sim Card. It's too bad he gave us the wrong information. We could have easliy done the online registration at home. We'll know for next time.

You could try contacting Moderator_team and plead your case. Not sure you'll get anything, but at the very least they'll want to know the name of the rep and the location of the Walmart so they can follow up (sounds like the rep thought the in store promo was still on).

Make sure you give them your name and number and account number and PIN right away so they can help you faster (but be prepared to wait a couple days for a response).

Sorry, I dont know who you're talking to or what you're talking about.

@kraftyk

It is not immediate credit.  It will take up to 72 hours for your credit to show up.  Usually 24 hours....

Is something wrong?

You both should have got the $25 promo referral credit then - you should send a private message to Moderator_Team with your name, number, account number, and PIN and her name and phone number and explain what happened. Be prepared to wait a couple days for a response!

Basically I was wondering about this referral offer, as in my case, after referring a friend of mine (she registered 3 days ago) , I only got the 1$ rewards rather then receive the 25$ rewards as promoted.

Any clue ?

Cheers,

Can you both confirm whether activation happened in-store or online? As already mentioned, this promo ($25 referral credit for both the referrer and the new customer) is for online activations only (and the referrer also gets the regular referral reward of $1/30 days for as long as the new customer remains a customer).

In-store activations only get the regular referral reward - $10 for the new customer and $1/30 days for the referrer. (Note that there was a separate in-store promo for Walmart and London Drugs that ended on Sept. 6 that had nothing to do with referrals - it gave the new customer a free SIM and $25 promo credit, and then if you also had a referral, the regular $10 referral credit - but the referrer didn't get anything extra out of that, just the $1/30 days.)

Also - note that referral credits can take up to 72 hours to appear in your account (though usually they show up within 24 hours).

It took about 5 days for my friend to get the credit.

Did you sign up online or at a store? It’s only available for online initiations.

I went to Wal-Mart to get a sim card for this promotion and they refused to sell it. I ordered it online yesterday, hopefully it comes in time. I was willing to activate in store but rep said I would not get the same referal credit. Not sure why this was made so difficult by Wal Mart.

@Dz11, when a customer wishes to purchase a SIM card, they shouldn't be forced to activate it in store.  This is the problem.

For the $25/$25 referral offer expiring on Thursday this week, an in-store activation nullifies this offer.

Customers are told by Public Mobile they can purchase the SIMs at these retail locations, and the locations are refusing to allow it.  Not all, granted, but there are a lot of complaints.

London Drugs staff do not work for commissions so they would be the same as wow

you just have to say that you want to buy the sim and self  activate not really hard

LD  staff are trained to give best customer service and support so that means offering to activate your SIM card

Hey!

This is an Awesome deal, but only if you don't get duped by an dishonest commission salesperson when getting your SIM. I reccommend going to WOW or another Kiosk where the staff are not on commission to buy the SIM. Call ahead to make sure they have stock.

I don't work for WOW.

Cheers!
