Text from from Public mobile (4013) saying my account was on hold.

The Text said to log on to resolve the issue and provided a link. I did not click it but logged on myself and my payment had come out as usual.

Is this a scam?

I had received several other texts from Public Mobile 4013 in June and September, talking about unresolved complaints so it seemed legit.

Always log into your account to check.  In any event, the problem with links is how they can send you to other websites that are often not what they appear to be, so don't use them when it comes to requests for payment.

you provided a valid credit / debit card during activation and it was set to autopay by default...so your plan will renew automatically. As long as your talk/text and data is working as expected, ignore those messages.
