@jmg135 : Do you have any of the gifts or calling add-ons? I was able to call the south. Not the north.
Edit: You still need the + or 011 to get there.

PM long distance calling does not work on calling all countries. Only selected counties can be called using the Add-on. You will probably need to use Long Distance Calling Card to make the call.

I'm calling the south using area code 721 and I get a public mobile message stating "the call can not be completed as dialed, please check your number and try again". My daughter is also with public mobile and can call but neither my husband or myself can.

For the south (Sint Maarten), the country code happens to be 1 and then the area code appears to be 721. For the north (Saint Martin) it's 590 and both 590 and 690.
Seems I can call the south. Not the north.

St. Maarten is not on the long distance add-on countries list, this is the full list:
Australia, Austria, Bangladesh, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Czech Republic, Denmark, France, Germany, Greece, Iceland, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Japan, South Korea, Malaysia, Mexico, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Peru, Poland, Portugal, Puerto Rico, Romania, Singapore, Spain, Sweden, Thailand, Venezuela. Calls must originate from Canada.

@jmg135 Have you checked your account to see if the LD minutes are showing there? If they are there, where are you trying to call?

I responded yes on December 4th and received a message saying the 500 international long-distance bonus minutes has been added to my account but I still can not make international calls. I there something else I'm required to do?

Let’s call it the “Annual Recurring Disaster”. Makes no difference to me, I am long beyond losing any sleep over anything that happens here. But the work that goes into fixing things up again! I think these gifts are great and a real selling point for PM over the competition. But I worry someone higher up will say enough is enough and who knows what could happen then.

Yes BC. It was 9 AM Saturday morning when I replied YES. I will try saying YES again on one of the two just to see if the gift ultimately lands in one of the accounts only. Can you imagine the mess if all the “YES” responses from several days are gone and we have to replay YES again! They could be hearing from customers about it missing from their account over the next year.

BTW...one plan @ $15 and one @ $25. Accounts are in BC.

Hi I'm are an existing public mobile customer and received a text message from Public Mobile on 4th Dec regarding free one-time gift of 2GB data and 500 Intl min. I replied with a “YES” to the message and I believe the promotions would be automatically applied to my account, but it didn't. Does it take time to apply then? A week or so?
