I dont think this will be the case as PM is a prepaid service. You can change your plan but you have already paid for a 35$ plan. Changing the plan now will reflect on your next month's plan. If you have the 1GB bonus each month, you will lose the bonus and can no longer sign up for it again. If you have one time offers, you will keep it until it expires, but then again, you already spent 35$ on your plan already.

The one-time bonus 5GB that was offered between November 25 and December 2 does fall off the account if any plan change is made.  This was confirmed by Alan_K and also by few customers who made plan changes.

@computergeek541  Looked at the details and the 1GB was reoccuring.  Not sure where @smp99 mentioned 1GB at 5 months got their information.

@jchlo  If you are referring to the promo that gave you a 1GB data bonus for 5 months when you activate a new account on a plan $35 or over, according to the terms, yes, you will lose your data bonus if you move to a $15 account.

Copied from main announcement:

  • To redeem, activate online or in-store by December 8th on any rate plan $35/mo or higher.
  • Eligible customers will receive 1 GB of bonus data within 10 business days of activation
  • Starting in the second month, 1 GB of data will be added to your monthly plan and will be received upon renewal
  • 1GB bonus will remain on the account as long as customers remains on an eligible rate plan of $35/mo or higher and the account remains in good standing
  • The 1GB of bonus data will stay on your account so long as your plan remains above $35/month

The promotion quoted above isn't for 5 x 1GB. The December 4 to 8th promotion is for a recurring bonus.

@computergeek541   There were two Black Friday promos - one for 1GB data for 5 months and one for one bonus 5GB.  OP specified 5GB.  The 1GB promo has condition about losing the bonus if switching plans but there is no mention of the 5GB promotion.

I don't remember any 5x1GB promotion for Black Friday, only a promotion going at the same time for a free 30 days of service that was introduced a few days later.

In any event, the one-time 5GB bonus promotion very clearly had a condition that the bonus would be lost if the plan  was changed.  This was on the plan page, but that advertising is no longer there.

@Triguy The terms of the promotion that you mentioned in the previous message said that a customer would lose the 5GB data bonus if any plan change was made.

@smp99   I did read their question.  There was a promo for a 5GB bonus but terms and conditions did not mention if you  lose the bonus if you change plans.

From November 25 to December 2, customers that activate online or in-store will receive a one-time bonus 5GB of data. Simply activate before December 2, 2019 11:59PM ET, on a $35+/mo plan to claim this offer. This will be applied as an Add-On. This offer is available to new customers only and not stackable with any other promos (except for Refer-a-friend bonus).

How to Get this Offer:

  • Click here to order a SIM card online through Public Mobile (shipping time is 3 to 7 business days) or order through Amazon and choose your shipping speed. Alternatively, you can purchase a SIM card by locating a retailer near you

The wording of the promo says any plan change will lose the 5gb. Someone asked the mods for a plan change up and to keep getting it and they succeeded. Promos in the past have more often been to keep at least a minimum plan cost to keep a promo. Other promos it was clarified that the plan could be changed.

Edit: @smp99 : It helps if you read the subject line first before you reply. 🙂

@Triguy  It helps if you read the question first before you reply. This has nothing to do with contacting a moderator.
