I pay $35/mo. for 3 GB of data and unlimited calling in Canada and texting in N. America. I save a few additional $ ea. mo. due to my loyalty credits and auto pay status. However, PM's promotion which I missed (ended Dec. 2) would have offered me FAR more GBs of data for MUCH less / mo. Why shouldn't I just cancel next time this type of promotion is offered and sign up as a new account?

Wow I think it's been at least 3 years since that plan was offered. It's too bad you haven't checked in earlier than now as there were many more cheaper options available to current customers earlier this year and late last year.
Unfortunately Public Mobile almost entirely only allows plan upgrading. However you may have a $29 or $30 plan option in your account. Make a habit of checking in here and/or your account to see what new plans are available to current customers.
Boxing Week should turn up some new options. Public Mobile also sends out targeted text offers every once in a while.
You can always cancel any scheduled plan changes on next renewal up until 11:59pm eastern on day 30 of your plan cycle and choose a different plan if you find something else. (Although I wouldn't wait to the very last minute to do it!)

@Holly_6 out pls outline for me WHERE I can find all the plan options
They'd be the ones you see if you sign in to your account and go to "change subscription", in my browser they are listed under the details of the current subscription. Pick one and of the two options you'll be given select "change on renewal", not "change now".

So, Handy1, if I change with my next renewal, nothing changes but the type of plan I am subscribed to? My ph. no., SIM, email I use with my account etc. all stay untouched?

Thanks, Mayor, for outlining for me the downside of that option: I definitely do NOT want to change SIM and ph. no. etc.

Hello. So would that explain the anomalies in my bills since then - the elimination of the auto payment credit? With my 'discounts/credits' previously, my total bill w hst was $32.20 (in Ap. and March) then suddenly $46 in May and $40.25 for the months following. Then in Oct. there was an additional cost of $17.25 debited 9 days before my normal billing date and $40.25 on the regular billing date in Oct. How can I find out what is behind these variations. Also can out pls outline for me WHERE I can find all the plan options? I have been looking at options listed within my account pages.

@Holly_6 The auto-pay credit was done away with back in May. Have you logged in and looked at the plans available to you within your account? You may find something suitable there, there are some plans that are not on the public Shop page.

@Holly_6 Or you could change plan for next renewal now and get the 50GB CAN/US /MEX plan for $35 that your currently paying 5G plan be smart to do , I mean your already spending $35 now . So it’s no brainer move until such time you see so thing better
adding @Holly_6 there is no more $2 auto pay and loyalty $ rewards everyone been switched to the new points system so it’s less lucrative instead you get 5% back on plan spend and all purchases and once a year get 10 points in your anniversary. Friend refferals keep same value but in points instead now , once you have 15 points you can redeem $15 off your bill from the rewards portal in your account

that's a valid option. Use someones referal cod and he'll get a point and you get a $10 credit to your account upon successful activation. Only downside is..you'd have to select a new cell number.
added...you'd need a new sim and a different email address for your new PM account.
