i was on the road and tried to use wifi. public mobile texted that i have used 100% data. but i am on the $25 plan and have only used 95MB out of 2GB available. what happened. thank you.

You got the text message but does your data still work?
If it does then ignore the message.

A little clarification.....wifi is usually free or what you are using at home to connect to the internet. If you are on the road then you are trying to use mobile data from public mobile.
The $25 plan comes with 1GB of data unless you have additional promo bonus data on your account. But it sounds like you may still have last year's holiday 2GB bonus data add on given as a gift. If by logging into your self serve you can confirm that this the 95mb/2048mb that you have mentioned then you should be able to use this data.
Public mobile has been known to send out errant texts. If you have available data in your account Then you can safely ignore this text.
The other possibility is that your data did not reset upon renewal. When did your plan renew?

Best to refer to this area of your self-serve landing page to see EXACTLY how much of your cycle's data allotment has been used.

Texting doesn’t use up your data if you use the phone default text app.
It was probably on roaming using up your data. You can login your Self Serve account to see what your data usage was use in. You can add-on extra data by clicking on Purchase Add-on.
Next time if you are on long distance travel, enable airplane mode.

@buffled - do you have a data limiter on your phone? IF this was a message from your phone you can adjust this according to your start date of your plan.
NOTE: plans are 30 days here.
Was this a text message from Public Mobile.
IF your OVERVIEW area on your Self Serve account shows you have more data to use, than ignore those messages.

Install an app to track your ‘live’ usage so you can keep track. to track 30 day plans (not monthly).
