Has anyone used this plan when in the us and had it work without any problems? Did you end up with any extra charges

rest assured you will NEVER get a bill for overages or unexpected calling anywhere. Public Mobile is a pre-paid service so you only get talk/text/data as per your plan. Once you hit your data limit...it just stops until next regular plan renewal. Use your service in Canada or USA without fear of unexpected bills.

Yes, we use it all the time. Make sure you have Data Roaming turned on, and leave the network selection to automatic. For the most part it works just like you were at home. Just make sure you have a VoLTE compatible phone:

Both myself and husband used it with no problems.  If your phone isnt VoLTE enabled with PM you will have to use a VOIP app like text now to make calls.  But data and text worked awesome.  My phone is VoLTE enabled ao I had no problem using it for phone calls.  No extra charges.  Enable roaming
