Once you activate with public mobile your old # automatically ports over to public mobile and cancels your old plan with other provider. I found Walmart representative super helpful if you need someone to do it for you.

@JeanBaptiste  to port over from Freedom. Give them the name on the account,  the number to port and the Freedom account number.  My dad has an account there and the information is  available. Stay safe

You would need to contact Freedom Mobile.

Calls to Customer Care are free when dialed from your Freedom Mobile phone.

Hi, I'm trying to come back to my old company but am unable to find certain information concerning the actual provider, which is Freedom Mobile.

Can I get help porting my # to Public Mobile please?

By the way, I still have the same # I had when I was with Public Mobile when it left Canada.

I would guess it is in process.  The support is not chatty on here!  🙂

I did all of this. No reply. I sent 4 other messages to mods. I think I felt into a black hole.

I just got my number ported within 1 hour of sending a message. In the private message I made sure to include the info from this link (alternate phone number, name of account holder, and account number/pin) https://www.publicmobile.ca/en/bc/get-help/articles/choose-your-phone-number
If you didn't include this info, I would pm back referencing your ticket number which is what I did!

yep email or yep private message or yep both or yep you gotta wait?

The email is just a notification of the fact that you got something in your private message inbox. (assuming it's set on still from default) Don't bother replying to it.

Did you reply to the email or the private message?

They're the only ones who can help you with this, so unfortunately you'll have to wait for a reply from them and for them to submit the porting request.

Are you just activating or do you already have a number and you now want to port your old number over?

A mod won't just come running 🙂 you would need to contact them. Click Get Help up top and then muddle your way through the chatbot looking either submit a ticket or a private message.
