I want to switch from Telus to Public Mobile to make use of the current Black Friday deals. I've purchased the subscription and am ready to activate the eSim. I'm told I have to "Complete your activation through the Public Mobile app." But when I go to download the app through the Google Play store, it either gets stuck on "pending", or downloads max 22%.
I'm connected on to wifi. My internet speeds are very fast. I'm on a Google Pixel 4a 5g. I've tried restarting the Play Store App, I've tried restarting my phone and I've tried downloading the app via my desktop.
Any suggestions?

I just ported from lucky mobile to public mobile using IMEI number.
I did not see any issue with that. Not sure if you had noticed any problem using IMEI number for porting earlier.

Do you maybe have a different device that you can download the public mobile app on just so you can finish the activation? Then after activation perhaps you can just use the desktop version for checking your account.

make sure to use your Telus account number for activation and not the IMEI number. the latter will cause your activation to fail. and esim is not very reliable at PM, a physical sim is much better imo

this is a Google play store or device problem
please first clear cache for your Play store
then reboot your phone. Before download PM app, update your others apps first. Once all updated, try PM app again

try clearing the cache and storage on the playstore app and restart the device.
