Unfortunately, I could not get past the point of the new phone setup where it was asking me to input my service provider, which was required before I could download the app. In order to do that I needed the esim. To get the esim from Public Mobile, I needed to download the app so I could sign into my account to order a new esim. But in oder to download the app, my service provider was required, and to input that, I needed the esim. And around, and around it went.
The solution for me was to insert an old sim card, which then allowed me to get past the service provider stumbling block, and from there I was able to download the Public Mobile app and obtain the esim.
Whew! Who knew an old sim card I used in Mexico, whick was no longer valid, would be the solution.
