@dboyce1027 yes but you won't be able to receive calls on the public mobile Sim until the port is complete! You could also keep using the Rogers Sun card until the port is complete at which time **bleep** would stop working and you'd put the public Sim in your phone

Hi. Am I able to use my phone while the number is porting from Rogers to Public?

They will reimburse automatically within 1 regular billing cycle. There is no need to check with them. Also note, the same thing happens if you owe money still.

As others have stated if you have your tigers account number then it shouldn't be a problem to port in your number. One thing that I didn't know was that as soon as you port your number out of Roger's your account gets shut down. I called rogers to cancel my plan and they said there was no need as it was already canceled from porting my number out. They did say that I should check back in 14 days to see if I had any credit remaining on my account that would need to be reimbursed.

Prepaid doesnt need credit. Unless someone gave wrong info.

Since when does prepaid services require a credit check? Companies perform credit checks to see if they can trust that you will pay the bill but if the bill is paid beforehand, there's no customer trust involved in terms of payments. If a credit check was required, they would also need other pieces of identification to complete verification.

Customers are not required to have a credit card. There are other ways to pay. In addition, Public Mobile does not run credit checks on customers.

Do they run a credit check for prepaid? The card Is to pay for service.

Also remember, your account needs to be active in order to port the number
