I redeemed rewards to obtain 3GB of additional data on May 25th. It is supposed to be good for 30 days so it should have expired June 25th. I am getting messages from Public Mobile that I am out of data effective July 3rd and it will not reset until July 18tth, but based on my detailed usage, I have not used my plan's data limit between June 25 and July 3rd. Did my additional data expire before June 25th?

@TammyMd The last item on the list available to me is the "In Canada Long Distance Minutes" and it's still the same list today. I already tried many times "Load More" option since I first noticed the lack of domestic data availability on this account.
I rarely go into the Rewards page except once in awhile to redeem the 15 points for a bill credit, so now I don't even know when this option was removed or how as everyone on this thread has no problem seeing it. I will eventually have to contact support should I ever need to redeem for domestic data (since it's cheaper option than purchasing it directly from Add-ons), but it's not really a priority as it would only for a one-off urgent usage scenario. However, I'm sure I can't be the only customer who has this issue and others may not have yet noticed it in their accounts. Or this could resolve itself by the time I may ever need to redeem this item in the future...

On my list it's below the "In Canada long distance minutes" Option. Alternatively, don't filter at all, just browse the entire catalogue. Keep clicking "Load More" and eventually you will see it...3GB for 20 points. The first one is for U.S. and the second one, further down the list, is for Canada. You have to click on the details to see which one it is

@TheSterlinger Yes, really odd as I thought it might be a temporary glitch too but still no domestic data add-on available in Rewards page on this account today. I really haven't checked the Rewards page for many months so not sure how long this has been the case, though I do remember seeing that option before, maybe last year...
Here's what I see when selecting the drop down list (All) from the catalogue and there's no "In Canada Add-Ons" option there.

@dabr odd that you dont have that option? The option is there for me.
Catalogue > In Canada Add-ONS
US roaming Add-ONS options below that.

A 30-day data add-on purchased on May 25 would have only been good up until the end of June 23.

So maybe a glitch that I mentioned earlier as that option is not available to me currently on the Rewards page.

@dabr wrote:@TammyMd It's odd but I don't even see the domestic data add-ons available to be redeemed for the discounted rate with points on the Rewards page. I only see roaming/int. minutes and bill credit options. I'm wondering if redeeming domestic data with points has been removed or it's just a temporary glitch in the PM system.
I agree with your point that PM is not acting in good faith and is really shortchanging customers by not allowing them to continue using this data for the full 30 days when the account renews and they are forced to consume the regular data instead.
You mean this?

if you were unsure, you could have come here to the Community....we would have told you that your regular plan data gets used before any add-on data gets used. The Community Forum is a good place to come for info and suggestions when you have questions.

I bought additional data because we were travelling outside the province and I timed it with our time away. I didn't realize my subscription plan dates were relevant. It said the additional data, that cost me 20 reward points, was good for 30 days so I figured it would disappear on the 30th day and then the balance of my normal subscription plan would apply. I rarely use all my data. As I said, a bit misleading.

yes, due to the 30 days limitation, always buy or redeem enough data for the remaining of the cycle, do not buy/redeem more because it is "better" value
since you have overuse your regular data 2 months in a roll, check Change Subscription page and see if you have a better plan there. Maybe there is another phone only couple dollars more, or even cheaper, and offer you more data than what you have now

thanks. I was aware of that. The problem was my regular subscription cycle overrode it before the 30 days expired.

I understood that my data would expire at 30 days. I didn't realize that my regular data plan cycle would override it. That's a bit misleading

check My Account and confirm the usage situation first.
Check also Payment history page to confirm if PM shows the transaction of the redemption
But if you got it in May, it is normal it will be used up in June.
Please be aware when the new cycle started after your add-on redemption, PM will start using the regular data first even your redeemed add-on still not used up. So, if by June 25, you still have regular data of that cycle, then add-on will still be expired

I believe DATA add-on has an expiry date of 30 days. So if you use it or not data will be gone after 30 days
