i gave my referal link to a friend to use but the referal code didn't go into the blank when he activated the sim card on a new account .. will i still get the referal?

That referral link is a holdover from a previous version of the activation page when the referral code was on the first screen. No it doesn't pass forward through the website until the referral code entry screen. It's obsolete now. As usual the company can't be bothered to do anything about it. It's been like this since the new activation version.

If you didn’t get a text saying “Cha-Ching! You just added to your Refer A Friend Rewards - Way to go”…then the referral code wasn’t entered.
Just contact a CS_Agent to add your rewards to both of your account by creating a ticket on SIMon Chatbot or private message them on this Community.

Your friend will need to message PM with your referal code and they can apply it.
Use links as supplied by science officer (and 1st officer) @MrSpock to message the CSA, for their assistance.

If you do not see friend's last 4 digits of phone number on your account, then he did not properly apply your referral code. He has to contact agent to manually apply your code.
