phone not allowing calls in or out

my phone has stopped calling out or allowing calls in, only texting can be done

What do I do? Would it be the phone malfunctioning or is something amiss elsewhere?

Yes, iPhone 6S just does not make it to the list, you need an iPhone 8 and above to use VoLTE for more stable voices.  

and a new iPhone will definitely solves the problem

Its an old IPhone6 S. I have already ordered a new phone. Another friend had the same issue with an older phone.

Buying a new phone solved their problem.

that might be a VoLTE issue.  What phone is that?

and check if it is on the VoLTE whitelist

But try Reboot phone and Try Reset Network settings

and confirm if you can use mobile data and if SMS text works
