new customer sign up help please

Hi everyone, I'm trying to sign up for a new plan as a new customer from Fido.  I picked a plan and at the fourth step "review and payment" it still never gave me an option to choose to port a number over to public mobile.  Anyone has any feedback when that process starts?  I'm afraid to move past this step forcing me to get a new number and a plan i will have to cancel, in case they dont allow porting?

hi @Georgee while they ship the sim card out within 2 business days, they use Canada Post regular mail, no tracking, so it could be a week or a bit more for you to receive the sim

You're right it gives in instructions to activate.   I guess I just need to wait to get my SIM card before i can do the activate process.   Thanks for your quick responses. you've been helpful

1. Choose or Transfer Your Phone Number

2. Activate your SIM

3. Confirm your identity

hi @Georgee the option to port is After payment step 

and make sure you use the app to activate.  Of you have not pay yet and was using the browser, download the app and use it to activate

thanks for the quick response, but there is no other option available.  you can try yourself, SHOP > choose a plan > go to step 4 "Review and pay" there is no option to port.    could it be that choosing a new number and porting options are available AFTER you get the sim card?
