I really need my phone number back they verified my identity I gave my new sim card number and now it's been 6 hrs without a response why is it suddenly taking forever? Public mobile customer service is awful

Account is active phone was stolen so trying to get phone number switched to new sim card lost access to my 2fa for my other account

What is the status of your account? Suspended or Closed?

You can call 1-855-4PUBLIC to check your status. If Suspended then make a manual payment to restore service with the CC on file or with vouchers.
If the system can’t find your number then your account is closed, your number returned to the carrier you got the number from and SIM stopped working for nonpayment for longer than 90 days.

I am having a similar experience but have only been waiting for them to address my ticket for 4 hours.
