I have an iPhone XR.
I have continual complaints about choppy output for mobile calls.
On $15 3G plan.
Does it make any difference if my cellular setting is 3G or LTE?
Not sure if is an issue because I often call from inside of house on 2 bars?
Have done a full reset of phone.
Is my issue:
My phone?
My settings?
Public Mobile?
My location?

@Grinch yes, that is perfectly ok. The 3G plan you have is just a 3G Speed plan. You can use LTE or even 5G network , just that the data will be capped at 3Mbps, but no problem using those networks

One question is.
If I leave my cellular setting on LTE for my 3G $15 plan, is that ok? Or if on LTE, is downward capability in my favour?

Basically, there should not be a difference, but keep in mind that in most cases, the speed of your plan is a bit higher than what you get in your plan. (in my experience)

@Grinch with PM enabled VoLTE for most customers, you can try to change it back to LTE and have it to use VoLTE (hopefully your profile is already enabled.) Check if LTE (or 4G) stays showing on the network status , that would indicate if VoLTE is working
