Have you gone through the activation process yet? You'll need the sim and a credit card and the account # of the old account. Read the pages carefully.

You have already submitted the porting request ?    If not, you can submit that during activation.  One of the stop will ask you if you want a new number or bring in a number, just pick the choice that you are bringing in

If you are existing subscriber and have not submitted the request yet, you can login to My Account and request Change phone number

If you submitted the request or trying to, what error you got?  provide us the error you got , or give us more information

@Nicol-Mancilla - Rogers mobile or landline?

Check to see if your number can be ported from this Koodo website (Telus owns Koodo and Public Mobile), so, same allowances here:

https://secure.koodomobile.com/checktransfereligibilityparrot/default.do?lang=en&appname=otherportal

Public Mobile should take care of all the porting details when you activate a Public Mobile sim card.

You should not need to contact Rogers about leaving (unless this is a landline connected to other services you are receiving from Rogers).

  • Cell ports can take 2-3 hours. Use the previous provider's SIM card to receive the porting transfer text for approval to port over to Public Mobile and to receive calls from until port is complete.
  • Landline ports can take 3+ days. Expect a mix of services on the landline and Public Mobile SIM card until port is complete.

When the incoming calls stop on the previous provider’s SIM card and/or landline account, that is a good indication the port is complete.

@Nicol-Mancilla  buy a Sim card at a Telus /Koodo store or order it online.  Then activate your new account online at public mobile. Don't forget to use a refferal code to get 10$ back for the cost of your Sim card.  When activating you can port in your Rogers phone number but be sure to keep your Rogers Sim card in your phone until you get the text from them to port out your number,  just reply yes and then you can install your public mobile Sim card in.   Usually it happens pretty quickly and everything works fine, sometimes it can take a few hours for the port to be completed and everything to work on your new Sim card!  If there's any problems the great people here will guide you on what to do next.   Welcome to public Mobile!
