help porting number from Public Mobile to Freedom Mobile

Hey @JamesNeverJim and @timepants 

It seems either PM is having issues with porting or.....     my guess is they are losing customers left right and center because of the amazing offers FM has. Stay strong and don't give up.

Yes, it's frustrating dealing with both Freedom and Public, because they don't have live support.

I am having a very similar error.  I am trying to port my number from Public to Freedom and no porting text was received.  Freedom is getting an error and told me to contact Public Mobile.  My PM sim is also active, can send/receive calls, texts, use data, etc.  I have submitted a ticket but have not gotten a message back.

Yes, I have already sent messages to CS Agent already. They still haven't replied.

I would follow @Handy1 suggestion and reach out to a CS Agent. However, FM does have alternative ways to reach PM to resolve this.

Freedom submitted the request to Public with all of my correct info: PM account #, PM phone#, PM full name. But Public Mobile still responded to Freedom with the same error message about number not found.

@JamesNeverJim  Then maybe message support to ask if they can verbally approve the port request

You might want to have freedom resend the request with the account number

Yes, my Public Mobile SIM is active, and I am currently using it. Freedom Mobile agents tried TWICE already to send PM the port-out request, but they got the same error. PM says my number isn't found. Freedom has all the correct info.

@JamesNeverJim  So your  PM SIM card works makes calls receives text ? And you can use data ?

My Public Mobile account IS active. But when Freedom Mobile sends the port out request, Public Mobile replies with an error saying that they cannot find my number.

@JamesNeverJim  Just make sure your PM account is active leaving PM SIM in phone to reply YES to the confirmation text to port . But you need freedom to initiate the port request . But if you want the link to support to ask them to verbally approve the port request here that is

Hi @JamesNeverJim 

There is nothing PM can do for you with this. You just have to make sure your PM account is active. The porting part is up to FM, not PM.
