@MrMahar- There was a period of time between system changes where support could set up an account. Then this new system came along and we hear other news. Then this "moderator" (who is a fellow customer but they would have some inside insight) stated the above. But then you say support won't. We all also know that support often has a substantial "your mileage may vary" problem. I wonder if you were to ask again because there would be some weight in what the above user says here. But maybe they're mistaken and using old information. Hopefully they'll come by with some clarity.

I have a MC debit, and regular Mastercard. Both fail at checkout. Extremely frustrating. Do you work for PM, or just a customer as well? Any insight as CS Agent said they no longer will help like you insinuated.

The signup process in the app requires a Visa, Mastercard, Amex ,Visa Debit, or Mastercard Debit issued in either Canada or the US. It won't let you proceed without one. Public Mobile customer support agents can activate a new account for customers to bypass this, but the account will be left in suspended status until a voucher is added to pay for the plan.

sorry, voucher is no longer an acceptable form of payment for activation, although it can be used to pay for renewal
To activate without a credit card, or debit card, buy a Visa Giftcard and use it for activation.
