@jack_van That's 6-12x more data than you get for 1/3 of the time period on your $15 plan though. If you run out you buy more.
If all you need is data, consider a travel esim plan from someone like Airalo or Ubigi.

I've noticed that the replies in this thread so far are encouraging you to purchase an add-on instead. Going back to your original question, you may change the plan at any time you wish. Plan changes can be made to take effect immediately or they can be pre-scheduled to take place at the time when your next renewal happens. If you choose to change the plan to take effect immediately, you'll have to pay for the full price of the new plan and there will be no refund for the remaining time of your old plan (and any remaining usage from your old plan will also be forfeited).

@jack_van wrote:thanks again, the data add on is only 3G, what if I exceed the 3G data, is there any more data add-on ?
Sadly you'd have to purchase another one. However, the system isn't the greatest when it comes to that sort of thing. Hence the better idea of just getting a second SIM card and get the US plan you want. Then when you get back, log into that account and turn off autopay so the account goes to sleep mode for 90 days till it just expires.

I would NOT change to any USA plan just for 10 days traveling through trumpland.
If you are happy with your $15 plan (THE best plan ever) get US add-on or get free voip app.

Looks like you'll be OK. Just make sure your firmware/software is up to date.
Honestly, I'd never EVER give up that $15. You will never see it again. Side note, check the current plans. You may have an offer there to upgrade that $15 plan to 500mb and 100 Intl calling minutes free.
I'd suggest the addon purchase more than anything. OR... another option I just thought of. You can always purchase a SIM card for $5 off Amazon and then just start up a new plan on the side for the one you want. Sure it will be a different number but the idea is to use it while in the US so no big deal if you toss it before the 30 day cycle is up. Just a thought.

you can keep the plan you have now and still have talk/text/data in US . You can buy a 15 Day add-on that will work for you while in US and you'll still have your old plan when you get home. Just make sure you have a newer cellphone that has VoLTE enabled by Public Mobile...otherwise talk won't work whilst in US.
added...clipped from Help Files. Here's a short list of Pixels that work in USA...yours is fine..

Thanks Chalupa_Batman for your reply, can I change to $36 US roaming plan, then change to $25 plan after?
Sadly no @jack_van . Once you choose the $36 plan you're pretty much stuck with it unless you port out to another service provider and port back in as a new customer getting a lower plan. Hence the reason I suggest an addon.
Which plan are you on now? Also, what phone do you have?

Hello @jack_van
If you change the plan to a Canada US plan, you can't go back to your old plan. The only options I can suggest is to purchase what's called a US addon. You can purchase just talk and text or you can purchase talk text and data. Log into your account and use this direct link to look at addons.

As you can see. There are two options. Pick what works best the night before you leave.
And finally, this is one of the more important things. Make sure you're phone has VoLTE capabilities. Here's a somewhat outdated list.

If you're phone isn't listed, it may not work in the US
