not able to make outside call even though have not used up the 100min limits if outisde calls made is added. airtime usage limit already used  up in the system.

It seems you have run out of your minutes (Canada-wide calling?). If outside call means make phone calls to the US or internationally, you need to purchase certain add-ons.

@audrey1211  There are two versions of the 100 minute plan. The older one includes 100 minutes total (incoming and outgoing calls). The newer version of the plan includes 100 minute outgoing calls and unlimited incoming calls. Access you selfserve account and check which one you have. The newer plan will display Unlimited incoming calls on the first page of your plan details.

 

If you have the older plan then schedule a plan change to take effect on your next renewal by using the plan change option within selfserve.

 

If you are on the newer version and your minutes counter is not being displayed on the first page of your selfserve details that means you used up all your minutes and best to purchase the 500 minute add-on for $5.

What do you mean by outside call? When you travel? To another city?

It sounds like you have the $15 plan which includes 100 minutes of outgoing Canada-wide calling.

 

If you can no longer make any calls, perhaps you have exhausted your plan calling minutes. You may logon your self-serve account to confirm the number of minutes remaining in your plan. Under "My data and add-ons", if you no longer see the line for your 100 calling minutes, it means you have used it all up.

 

To re-enable calls, you have several options:
- Purchase one of the available calling add-ons.
- Change your plan.
- Add enough funds to your account to renew your plan early and contact Moderators to do it.
- wait until your plan renews automatically.

 

If you are trying to call outside Canada, you need to have either the USA calling add-on ($8 for 200 minutes) or the International calling option ($15 for 400 minutes), which allows you to call to these countries: Canada, China, France, Germany, Greece, Hong Kong, India, Italy, South Korea, Malaysia, Mexico, Poland, Portugal, Puerto Rico, Singapore, Spain, Thailand, United Kingdom, United States, and Venezuela.

So which is it... "have not used up the 100min limits" or "airtime usage limit already used up"? Can you confirm if you see the following line in the Self Serve portal?

If that line is missing, you've used up all 100 minutes. Obviously if you've used up your 100 minutes, you won't be able to make any more outgoing calls. You can however add another non-expiring bucket of 500 minutes add-on for only $5.

Uhm.... not sure what you meant there.... are you saying that when you add up all of your outgoing calls listed in your usage, it's less than 100mins., but that the system states you've used up 100mins.?

 

Keep in mind that, apparently, each call is rounded UP to the next minute, such that a call of 2mins. 23secs. will end up being considered a 3 min. call.

 

That, and all calls to voicemail, from the phone on the account, count against your 100 minutes of outgoing calling.
