for th past week my public mobie is showing tmporarily unavailable and I am wonder how long this will be. Really need my phone as I am elderly and live in a rural ara.

where does it show temporary unavailable? on you phone or when you login My Account?
is your voice service working? how about mobile data? Did you try reboot your phone and did you try Reset Network Setttings?
have you login My Account and confirm if your account status is active?
