Hi,
I have just assisted my brother to sign up with Public Mobile. He is able to make outgoing calls, receive and send text messages, BUT, his phone will not ring when someone calls. His iphone is going straight to voicemail, and it says his voicemail is full In reality, there are no messages in his voicemail
We have troubleshooted, airplane mode, do not disturb mode, bluetooth mode, all volume settings... no success.
Is it possible that this glitch is caused by the new activation with Public Mobile?

Your brother had a 90 minute window to reply to the old carrier text. Remember that he need to keep the old carrier SIM in the phone to receive the text.
If he missed the window, he needs to contact a moderator to complete the porting by clicking on the SIMon chat button and ask to contact a moderator.

I sent you instructions and the telus porting department number to your private messages. The envelope icon next to your avatar at the top right corner of your screen.

@BlackPanther he will need to call a number to retrigger the process
Also, make sure he has his old SIM in a phone so he can receive the SMS and can reply.

Yes, he did port his # over from previous provider. This is a good point... he probably didn't reply to their text or email. Thank you, I will let him know.

@BlackPanther is your brother porting from his number into Public?
Voicemail, is that the voicemail from his previous provider?
If he is porting, did he get a text from his previous provider? did he reply YES within 90 mins? This is an important steps for the porting to complete
If porting not involved. Did he connect his iPhone to the computer with iTune and download the latest update as well as Carrier Profile?

@BlackPanther if this number was ported, it could take 2-3 hours to complete the port.
Incoming calls are usually the last to complete.
IF this was not a port, maybe you just need a bit of time....(should be immediately, but sometimes people report a delay).
If you try the SIM in another phone will incoming calls come in?
Try a Reset of the Network Settings.
Have him sign out of his Apple ID on the phone, than log back in.

If number porting was requested, please make sure that your brother is still using the old carrier's SIM card. I am also suspecting that the voicemail that calls are going to is of the old carrier. This will continue in this manner until number porting complete. Ensure that your brother replies to the text message from the old carrier to approve the phone number transfer.

Did you brother port in his number? If so his port is not complete. Did he leave his old sim card in his phone and reply YES within 90 minutes?
Are all texts coming in or just iMessage?
