@Joel1234 , generally I don't like advocating this, since it is fulfilled by Amazon buy it, try it and return it if it does not work.  The only unknown is whether you will get VoLTE on the Public Mobile service.  Without VoLTE functionality, you run the risk of having the phone become a paperweight by the end of 2025 when the 3G network is alleged to be turned off.  VoLTE compatibility testing is relatively easy to do but you need to have the phone connected to the network to do the test.

Hi Joel,

The Wave 6c page you’ve linked to clearly states the phone won’t work with Telus/Koodo, and Public Mobile uses the Telus network. (see below)

If I were you, I would buy a trusted brand that you know will work, or move service to another provider if you really love the phone.

📶【Please Read Before Purchasing】📶 Blackview WAVE 6C unlocked cell phone offers 4G network, can work with GSM network carriers like Bell Wireless, Freedom mobile, Rogers Wireless, Chatr, Luck Mobile, Virgin Mobile, Fido, FIZZ, Shaw Mobile, T-Mobile, Metro PCS, Movistar, Telcel, Tigo, Claro, etc. It CAN NOT work with AT&T or Cricket SIM cards or CDMA network. 🔔🔔It Does NOT supports Telus, Koodo”

This is crazy how can it take two days and still have no clue if my phone will work this company needs some serious customer service because it has none why are customers answearing my questions instead of trained sales associate I have tried for two days and am about to give up I'm frustrated and have no clue what any of the Teck babbling you all speak will it work yes or no simple question

Public Mobile doesn't have sales associates.  The pupose of this message board is to interact with other customers.  Unfortunately, the answer to your question isn't a a simple yes or no answer.  The phone willl work but it won't be ideal.  For a more guided experience, Telus has the Telus Mobility and Koodo Mobile brands.  The Public Mobile brand has a self service model.

Yes your phone will work.

Public Mobile works on following frequencies:

  • For 3G use (UMTS/HSPA): 850MHz/1900MHz bands
  • For 4G/LTE use: 1700MHz/2100MHz bands
  • For 4G/LTE use: 700 MHz band

Which means most of the 3G,4G HSPA/ LTE phones that are compatible with these frequencies will work on Public Mobile. If your phone is locked to specific carrier, you’ll have to get it unlocked.

Phones compatible with Telus, Koodo, Bell, Virgin will work on Public Mobile network. All 3G, 4G phones from Rogers, Fido and ChatR are compatible and will work on the Public Mobile network.

It will work, but I don't recommened using it on Public Mobile. Public Mobile is unlikely to presently allow this device to use VoLTE services, although that's not mandatory for voice services currently.
