There actually IS a contact number to assist with porting when there is a problem with porting a number from another provider.
I'll private message you the number. You can get it by checking my message under your private message box upper right (you'll see a number over the envelope to indicate there's a message)
I have to private message the number as PM does not 'like it' when members post it publicly on this forum.

You might need a new phone number or can call your previous phone provider to make sure the phone is unlocked

the error " Invaid Phone Number - Please enter a valid Canadian phone number" is either because
If you are porting in from Koodo prepaid, you have to activate with a new number first. Once activation completed and you can make calls and recieve calls, then you will need to open ticket with PM support for a manual porting request.
if you are NOT porting in from Koodo prepaid but was re-attempting the activation a second time, you will have to open tickte with PM support and have them to clear up the earlier activation attempt. Please open ticket using Public Mobile Expert Messaging , Select Start a Chat to begin (You will need to use your current Community account to login to submit the ticket):
