Why referral code is invalid?

I referred my mom to public. She is new to public. She registered for a new account with the link I sent her and subscribed a plan. However the webpage kept saying the referral code is invalid. She did not get the referral credit. How to fix this?

Sometimes those links are known not to work. Sometimes they have to be entered manually. 

I've been through this before. If you create a ticket, a CS Agent will advise you that your mom will have to be the one to create the ticket. Once she does, then they will ask a bunch of questions and it will be resolved. Please make sure she has the correct referral code when she creates the ticket.

please ask your friend to open the ticket with PM support:

1. Open ticket via Chatbot (need access to My Account): At https://widget.telus.tiia.ai/publicmobile/publicmobile.html
    Start by typing "Submit a ticket", then click "Contact Us", then "Other", then "Log In", finally click "Click here to submit a ticket ↗
2. If you have trouble with Chatbot or you don't have access to My Account: Private message CS Agent at: 
       https://productioncommunity.publicmobile.ca/t5/notes/composepage/note-to-user-id/22437
**Monitor your Community inbox (envelope icon on the top right) after ticket submitted, CS Agent will reply to you there

you sure your friend entered the correct code without type?  like O or 0, 1 or I?

and make sure your friend enter the code at the Friend's referral code session, not Promotion

if your friend still cannot use the code, activate first, and open ticket with PM support after and ask them to manually apply the code for you
