Not Able to transfer my number from previous provider

Hi, I used to be with Fido. I have requested to transfer my number and I called Fido, the transfer was successful. However, when I installed the esim, it’s a new number and not my old number. Is there anyway I can get my old number back? I have submitted a ticket but no response yet.

Thanks for the info! I am able to make calls, text and connect to data. I have tried to change the number on iMessage but it changes back to the temporary number.

I have installed the esim but it’s still the temporary number rather than my old number

can you make outgoing calls with the esim?   if you can, then your esim was installed properly

what you need to do now is to Reset All Networks or Reset Network Settings 

if you have an iPhone and you see the wrong phone number on iMessage, go to iMessage settings, remove the phone number. Reboot the phone.  Then go back to iMessage settings and put the correct number back

that is a esim setup problem.  Please check if the esim is installed. If it is installed,make sure it is enabled.  If it is not there, then try to install it yourself.  Find the Welcome email from PM, there is a esim qr code, just scan and install
