Webpage shows that my phone has been making calls, that the phone is not showing

Hey guys,

So I just signed up with Public Mobile the other day.

When I go to the website to track my usage it shows that there have been about 6 calls a day, of about 6 seconds each, from my number to this number 306-580-4001.

The phone itself doesn't have any record of having made any calls.  Actually, I think it was turned off when some of them were made.

I'm not being charged for those calls, but the fact that it's happening is concerning.

Has anyone else had this happen, or know what this is about?

@ThatGuy539  The best way to block a call is to go into your call history and block the number.

Yep, makes sense.

I've actually been getting about 6 calls a day from some spammer.  I haven't answered any of them.  Which explains all the voice mail calls.

Hey...is there a way to block numbers other than via some software on the phone itself?

@PAULRANG18 to be clear:  if other people call you and you don't/can't answer and the call goes to your voicemail, YES it shows in your usage history but NO it does not count as used minutes.  If you call into your voicemail from the phone to check for/listen to messages, that shows in your usage history, and those minutes DO count against your plan amount (if not unlimited).  If you call into your voicemail from some other phone (home phone, work phone, friend's cell phone), it does not cost you any minutes.

@ThatGuy539

The phone number with the last 4 digits 4001 is the voicemail number. Your incoming calls with no answer will be forward to your voicemail.  Those calls will not use your plan minutes.

@ThatGuy539  That is Public's voicemail number for your area and it is normal to see those entries in your usage history.

@ThatGuy539

It should be your phone trying to access your PM voicemail.  Sometimes, it is somebody calling and not leaving a message.

If you aren't being charged, it should be fine.
