WIFI calling...

Hi, I was wondering if Public Mobile had planned on adding this feature in the very near future.

My reception is terrible and this would be the only way for me to receive calls from anywhere in my house. I'm a landlord and I'm basically unreachable when I'm at home because of this...

Sad to say but if they don't I will have to look for a competitor that does...

@seventi not much.

Another option would be to sign up for a VoIP service like TextNow, Fongo, Talkatone, etc.  They all can operate over either WiFi or mobile data.  However, you would get a new phone number with that service, so that may not be an option in your case.

VoLTE will be offered when the 3G network is retired.  So, maybe in another 10 years.

@seventi  Although no one really knows my guess is that it will not be happening anytime soon. I'm hoping that they offer VoLTE before the offer WiFi calling.

@seventi  there are no such plans that I'm aware of. You may consider moving up to Koodo, they have WiFi calling. You would still be on the Telus network and your PM account does not have to be active to port.

I don't think it will be offered by PM.  You could use apps like Fongo, WhatsApp, or Textnow.
