Voice mail icon

The voice message icon will not go away.  I have no messages. 

Can someone help 😫

I clicked on force stop in the voice-mail setting and finally got rid of that icon.

Check the settings on your Samsung S23. Go to Setting>Apps>Phone>Notification>disable Allow notifications then enable Allow notifications or click on Allow sound and vibration and click on either Badge or Pop-up.

if iPhone, what iOS version you have?

Can you press and hold the icon with the badge and select clear Badge?

or  press and hold the icon with the badge select App Info, select Clear Data

I've experienced the same thing once or twice. Only way I could get rid of that erroneous notification was to reboot the cell phone. It's a nuisance but it will go away...eventually.

@Tamram  Is this iPhone ? Do you have the latest software update 16.6 some have said it has helped. Other have said they had support reset the voicemail and that helped
