Very poor reception

I’m on a 4G plan, however I only have 3G reception. I thought this might be due to my older model phone, however I have upgraded to a new device and the problem persists. I’m considering upgrading to a 5G plan, but hesitate as I’m not convinced this will help. For reference, although I am in an area that does not have excellent reception, none of the neighbours I’ve checked with (various carriers) are experiencing this problem. Thoughts..?

Thank you!

Might also want to check the nearest Telus or Bell cell tower to your main location.  It might be possible that you are in a poor area for reception

hi @Kayjay007 did you try manually changing the network mode?

test 4G or LTE and 5G auto

Thank you for your response. I’m using an iPhone 14 Pro Max. I did try to reset my network settings. The phone is showing that I’m connected to PM, but still no reception?

The plan you have is not related to reception or network connection at all. All plans can connect to the whole network of 3G/4G/5G.

5G isn't about signal strength. It's about faster data speeds.

What phone are you using? Have you tried to reset your network settings forcing you back on the network?
