Unable to text or make phone calls

I have an iPhone 16 pro max.  I switched from Bell mobility to Public Mobile yesterday. I am unable to send texts or make phone calls today.  This is annoying.

you should take out the old sim and make sure you're using the esim as your primary.

hi @DeeDee36

remove your old carrier sim, and make sure PM sim/esim is the only one active and set as Primary

and Reset Network settings

I followed all of the steps. I was able to send texts or make and receive and send phone calls yesterday after the switch.  I’m in Truro today and not Halifax. I’ve done another network reset but no change.

@DeeDee36

did you follow the correct steps to ensure successful port of your number ?  Did you leave old sim in place until you received a text from Bell confirming your desire to port to Public Mobile to which you reply YES within 90 mins ? When old sim quits working, you can replace it with new Public Mobile sim to start your service.
