I have sent a ticket regarding this btw...but I ported my phone number from Fido to Public mobile so my Fido account is cancelled, the porting went well my phone number was now on Public mobile yet yesterday I got a text saying the phone number I ported was no longer active, so I was assigned a new number which is ok with yet on my device settings that says About Device it still shows my old number, also I am unable to make a phone call to just one certain landline..just curious what others think...my device is a Moto G 5G 2025 if that makes a difference...thanks

Hi .. I finally figured it out LOL it was something that I had to do in my call settings into the SIM card settings which had my old phone number so I put it in my new phone number so it works good now also the reason why I'm okay with my new number for one thing it's easy to remember and when I got that text from public mobile but my number that I ported to public mobile saying it was no longer active I figured "just great" and I figured it would be gone forever or recycle for someone else anyways my new phone number is pretty easy to remember plus I've told my friends and family etc etc.

I'm kinda surprised you are ok with losing your old number, especially since you tried to port it in the first place.

hi @AshA909
how you reassign a new phone number? who helped you with that?
For the number show on your phone, you can update it by clicking Reset Network Settings on the phone, it should work
and you also cannot make outbound calls? did you remove your Fido sim card or disable your Fido esim? you need to do that and Reset network settings on your phone after
