I've been on Public mobile for the past 4 years, but all of a sudden I'm unable to make calls now. Every time I try to make an outbound call, I get "Number is not valid". I have 2 family members on Public Mobile, and they do not have any issues. What's going on?
Edit: I tried adding 1 and +1 and now I'm able to make calls. However, I'm still unable to dial 1800, 1866 numbers. When trying to add 1 or +1 the call ends right away. The numbers are valid though, as I'm able to connect to these calls on my landline

Yea I tried multiple. Seems the fix was taking out the SIM card and putting it back in. Adding 1 or +1 works now, but seems this is a requirement now for me to make phone calls (which is a hassle but I have to live with it)

tried + infront, and it didn't work. Call just ended immediately. I don't know if it's an intermittent thing, but my regular calls have stopped working again. Did some more digging on the community board, and I just raised a ticket with customer support to see.

Was it you said you tried with the + in front of the 1800?

I did exactly this, but the call drops right away on the 1800 number I'm dialing. But works for my landline

Yes, it looks like that it may be the norm moving forwards. Public mobile has not confirmed yet.
May need to add + in front on 1 800 number.
Hassle, but might be the way of the future.

Is this the norm moving forward? I tried doing this for toll free numbers (1800, 1866, etc) and it's still not working. But calling my home phone it worked now
