Unable to connect to network

I have just activated my sim card, however, my phone is saying "network locked SIM card inserted", nor can I manually connect to the network. Help please!

Did you just buy the phone privately? As @MrSpock noted, it sounds like the phone is locked by another carrier other than Telus, Koodo or PM.

What is the make and model of your phone so we can help you check your setting to find out the carrier you need to contact to unlock your phone?

@Easton hi it sounds like your phone is locked to another provider,you will need to contact them to unlock your phone,what type is it?
