Unable to call out or receive calls

Since yesterday (Dec. 11), I cannot call out or receive calls. No dialing sound. Texting and mobile data are working. Received multiple voice message alerts. Restarted handsets and re-inserted SIM card multiple times, still not working. Please help.

I'm thinking it's maybe a network problem too. Winter storm hit this area on Thursday & that is same day my call service in/out stopped working. We have power on here & not electricity outages but maybe a cell tower was affected by storm. I have no idea!

When I had the calling problem, I restarted my Huawei phone several times and re-inserted the SIM card to my cellphone. Nothing worked. Several (probably three) days after I submitted a service request ticket, I could make/receive phone calls. A Public Mobile service person later called me, saying there was a network problem during that week.

I had the exact same problem that started on Thursday between after 12pm. I'm still unable to make or receive any phone calls. Public Mobile needs human phone CSAs. Our car broke down on out of town trip & I can't get more family help without having phone call access.  We're still in emergency need. Did reboot, reset network, pulled out & reinsert of SIM - everything CSA told me to try. I'm in active 5G network area. I can't even call my Mom sitting beside me.

You are right. It didn't connect to 3G at all. Will submit a service ticket to PM. Thank you.

but does it connect at all?  I suspect after changing to 3G, the phone not connect to the network at all.

And it think it is time to ask PM support to check.  Please submit a ticket with CS Agent using Chatbot here:

i would ask PM to refresh the account

Just open ticket with PM using the Orange Chatbot icon on the lower right. Type the question Submit ticket and select Contact Us to get to ticket open screen

are you in Calgary?  I think there was some problem in Calgary yesterday

and what phone do you have? try your sim in another phone

it could be a problem with VoLTE and 3G problem?  What model of phone is that?  

if you change the network mode to 3G or WCDMA only, is the phone able to connect on that mode?
