A caller who is with Sasktel trying to call me can’t get through. Instead when he tries calling me his phone displays Edge Immigration and not my name.

that is a different issue from the name on the caller id
So, what phone do you have?
Try Reset Network Settings and it might help. Or you can report the problem with PM
Just open ticket with PM using the Orange Chatbot icon on the lower right. Type the question Submit ticket and select Contact Us to get to ticket open screen

This isn’t the only problem I’m having, for the past half year I either haven’t received calls from certain numbers or it’s gone straight to voicemail with no notification and one caller received a message that my number wasn’t in service.

no need to worry about the change, as @softech said, you just just updating the name on the caller id database. you are not changing anything on the network.

you are not removing name on his phone, you are just removing the name on a name lookup service. See it as Google got the wrong information and you are correcting that

But I’m not receiving the call, would this correct it by removing the incorrect name on his phone? He’s shown this to me when I was in the same room with him and when he calls me nothing comes through on my phone and his phone displays Edge Immigration with my number.

PM does not send name. The call display name people got is the phone just lookup the number from the caller id service. Ask your friend what phone he is using and we can direct you to those service and ask them to change the name on their database.
another thing your friend can do is to make a contact on his phone for your number, so the phone would get the name from the contact and not those lookup service
