USA subscription but unable to text

Hello,

My husband and I have Canada/ USA talk and text subscriptions. We can call each other but cannot text each other. Is there a setting that has to be activated for texting to work?

@Bestlife - Do you have the Canada-US plan or roaming talk / text ( with Addable data)?

For Canada-US plans - please try turning on Data Roaming.

For Talk / Text 15 day add-ons please turn off RCS or iMessage on both devices to start texting each other.

If you are using the Talk / Text / 3GB 15 day add-on please make sure data roaming is on.

You can also try connecting to T-Mobile or AT&T

  • T-Mobile on 2G (Decommissioning at the moment), 4G LTE, or 5G
  • AT&T on 4G LTE.

Hey @Bestlife 

Go into your settings, network settings and turn off automatic and pick T-Mobile then reboot. SHould work just fine as I was in the US 2 weeks ago.
