@Jo16

You need to get your terminology correct. If you need to call from Canada to the USA you need a USA calling add-on (or the $50 plan). You aren't "Calling in USA", you are calling TO USA.

You have  to contact moderators to see if they will issue a refund credit. Normally they don't but it is case by case. Two ways to reach them

@Jo16

You can also buy the 400 minutes international calling as @Dunkman  suggested.

Or you could try the Textnow app. You get a Canadian number in your area which will allow you to call USA and Canada for free over wifi.

They can even leave you a voicemail when you're not online.

@Jo16 To get a credit for the incorrectly purchased US roaming add on you have to contact the moderators. Click on the green questionmark in the white circle at the bottom right of your screen.  This connects to the autobot Simon.  Type moderator and follow the prompts to get to one (CLICK on account specific question and human and submit a ticket)

The $50 plan below. Gives you unlimited USA calling while in Canada. If you go to USA it will not work you would need a USA roaming add-on.

Two options to buy a new plan.

Change now - You automatically are charged for new plan, new plan starts right away and there is no refund for unused days from old plan.

Change at next renewal- Your new plan will start at next payment date and you will charged for new plan on that day.

As @Dunkman suggested...there's a 400 minute option to call USA. It's an add-on that won't expire until you use up those 400 minutes.

If in Canada, you will need to buy a long distance add on.

400 International Long Distance minutes   $15

Included countries: Canada, China, France, Germany, Greece, Hong Kong, India, Italy, South Korea, Malaysia, Mexico, Poland, Portugal, Puerto Rico, Singapore, Spain, Thailand, United Kingdom, United States, and Venezuela.

@Jo16 the $50 plan is for calls from Canada to the US. You can schedule a plan change from your self service account. If you use the change now option, you will lose what you paid for your current plan and immediately be charged for the new one. Or you choose change on renewal.

The 10 Day US Roaming add-on only works while you're in US.

If you are, manually select either AT&T or T-Mobile..whichever works for you.

Restart you phone.

@Jo16

Are you in the United states right now, trying to call a US number?

Or are you in Canada trying to call a US number?

If in Canada, you will need to buy a long distance add on.

400 International Long Distance minutes   $15

Included countries: Canada, China, France, Germany, Greece, Hong Kong, India, Italy, South Korea, Malaysia, Mexico, Poland, Portugal, Puerto Rico, Singapore, Spain, Thailand, United Kingdom, United States, and Venezuela.

200 U.S. & Canada Long Distance minutes   $8

If in the USA, your add on should work in calling US and Canada numbers.
