I will be traveling to the US for a 60 day period. If I purchase a 15 day add on for my phone, is it effective immediately & can I purchase a total of (4) 15 day add one to cover the 60 days I will be there

You shouldn't have a problem if you already have a Canada/Us plan, works the same there. But if you are buying specifically for a 15 day period you will have to contact customer service to renew or extend your plan.

@darrinlisk If you already have a Canada-US plan you do not need roaming add ons, just use your phone as you usually do in either country. There are no roaming fees with Public Mobile since it is prepaid so if you aren't covered for something by your plan it will just simply not work. The main caveat is whether your phone is approved for VoLTE by Public Mobile because otherwise text and data will work in the US but voice calls will not. The US carriers all require VoLTE approved phones.

You will not need to purchase a roaming add-on if you have a Canada-US plan but you must have roaming toggled on your phone. There are no additional charges.

When I travelled to the US, I subscribed to the US-CAN plan for 35 CAD which allowed me call/text/internet all through my stay. This is similar to the ongoing US-CAN-MEX plan currently going on. It's an instant connection and works just same as when in Canada. Hope this helps.
Thank you

@darrinlisk Yes it starts immediately but you can't buy another 15 day add on in the self serve system until 24 hours after the previous one expires. To get around the 24 hour wait you would need to contact customer service. Have you checked in your account to see if there are any Canada/US/Mexico plans that are anywhere close to the cost of your current plan? You would not require add-ons then but if you're on something like the $15 plan then you would not be able to switch back down to it when you come back.
