Today I received this email from Orchard (a Canadian used phone seller). Within it, there are promo codes to receive time-limited additional data bonuses when signing up with PM (10GB for 6 months on plans $34+ or 5GB for 12 months on plans $26+).

@Snodgett You will not be able to retrieve texts or VM from your Public Mobile account if you are not in North America.

@charles_phillip If you determine that you have a US or US-Mexico roaming plan, you need to turn on Data Roaming on your phone when you’re travelling.

@Kobeb It sounds like you don’t have Data Roaming toggled on. When you turn Roaming on, just leave it on even when you’re back in Canada. You never have to worry about extra charges because your Public Mobile plan is prepaid.

@Zeab DO NOT cancel your Rogers plan before signing up with PM. Your Rogers account needs to be active to port your number to another provider.
