Tried all the recommended advice, and US roaming just doesn’t work.
Basically it’s now saying that it might not work in the US. Lol then why sell me the service??

@Yummy- Sure. You could say Roaming switch is for data only. Toggle is synonymous with switch. You could say slider for the thing on a touchscreen like on a phone. It's just that your previous sentence made it sound like roaming is only for data when roaming is also for talk and text.

@dust2dust your comment (as anybody's else) is highly appreciated!
You are saying my sentence should be 'Roaming toggle is for Data only.' Kind of does not make sense to me so please explain. Unless you are thinking of roaming 'switch' in a phone settings?

@rbourgeo oh.. Alaska
T-Mobile does not have coverag in Alaska . Actually, T-Mobile also running on a roaming agreement with another provider, GCI, there, but PM roaming cannot tag on that. So, you have to buy local data Prepaid for Alaska, like GCI or AT&T

Also definitely have the roaming add on, as it now says I’ve used a day out of the 15

In Alaska
I’ve tried all of the settings, while restarting, manually selecting t-mobile,etc
I didn’t change the volte settings prior to getting here

for reference...
1- could you tell us where in US you're having difficulty with the PM roaming add-on.
2- is volte enabled in the phone's settings ?

The customer-facing system doesn't know what your device is and whether it's capable. The internals know that but it doesn't seem connected to the customer-facing system. Can your phone use 4G/LTE or is it still just on 3G/UMTS/WCDMA? Can it switch down to 2G/GSM?
If it can use 4G/LTE then mostly good. If it can be switched down to 2G/GSM then mostly good.
T-Mobile roaming will use 4G/LTE for text and data and volte talk. They offer 2G/GSM for talk and also text and not sure about data.
Coverage always varies with any provider. Roaming coverage is not the responsibility of Public.
So set the phone to automatic networks and LTE. If talk still doesn't work then hopefully the phone can be switched down to 2G/GSM.

Well, in some areas it might work but in some (most) it will not.
PM will have T-mobile 2G network for US talk. Try to manually connect to T-mobile.
Roaming is for Data only. Voice and SMS text will still work.
Data will work on LTE, but will switch over to 2G to make a call.
However, the quality of service will vary depending on the different coverage areas when roaming in the USA.

make sure Roaming data is enabled in your settings.
You can only connect to T-Mobile...you might have to manually select it.
\Where are you ?
Do you have a volte enabled phone ?
added...
without the add-on, you should be able to rec texts but unable to reply.
Log in to your account and make certain you successfully got the 15 Day US Roaming add-on you wanted.
If you find the add-on doesn't work at all, contact the CSA when you get home and request a credit to your account for the un-usable 15 Day US Roaming add-on that didn't work.
