US roaming add on

Hello, I am going on vacation in the US and thinking about buying the US add on for text/call and data. My mother in law is on Telus and has a plan that includes US text/calling. When we are in the US if I had this add on would I be able to call/text her? Thanks in advance for your input.

She has a plan that includes texting and calling to the US from Canada, or does it include roaming in the US?

Yes, both of you are now covered in the USA for roaming!

yes, if you have US roaming addon and she has Can-US plan, you two can call and text each other

But you need to make sure your phone connects to T-Mobile or AT&T, don't use 5G, stay with 4G. 

If calls does not work , you two would  need to connect to T-Mobile and use the 2G network for calls
