US data roaming not working

Nattherat1

I paid and used US data roaming , it ran out so I topped up with 3 GB, before I went to San Francisco. It never worked, I was charged, never got any data. This was scary and dangerous, no directions, no Uber, no google. I felt scared and unsafe. Public mobile were uncontactable. Their stupid bit system sucks!! The whole company and system sucks. I still can’t submit a ticket and get help or a refund!!!!!!!!

Do you still see the amount you paid in your balance? Do you still see the previous roaming add-ons showing 0/15 days? You can wait for those 0/15 items to disappear or as mentioned, you can ask support.

US roaming on PM is far from unreliable in my experience. The only issue I've encountered is no voice calls before PM implemented VoLTE, but data seems to be the issue here. And of course the lack of service in Alaska, but again, not relevant for this situation.

I've also never had to manually select TMobile; I just leave it in Automatic network selection. That said, if your phone has trouble connecting automatically that is a device issue, not a service provider issue.

@Nattherat1 Are you saying that data was working in the US, and then it stopped when you tried to renew it? There is a long-standing issue whereby you can't purchase the same add-on consecutively, until about 24 hours have passed since the first one expired. The workaround is to message @cs_agent and see if they can apply it early for you. Otherwise you can purchase a different add-on.

Or if you're saying it never worked at all, a common issue is not enabling data roaming on your device itself.

Yes, you are correct: ticketing does not work 😞

you can always contact agent by personal mail.

As for US add-on, somehow it is very unreliable. You have to connect manually to T-mobile, have roaming on and Pray it might work. As for navigation you should download Google off-line maps or have stand alone GPS. I do use Google maps on PC to locate address or look for route but NOT for navigation while in a car/on foot. Sometimes GMap heavily depends on Internet and off-line version kind of sucks when you need it the most. Waze off-line should work better. And you cannot beat Garmin for navigation.

@Nattherat1

it's a know system glitch that you can't buy the same add-on until old one is expired + 24 hours. Contact a CSA and they'll likely credit your account.
