I have unlimited calling and texting in the US on my regular plan. I am travelling to the US for two months. Do I just need to buy US data every 15 days to be completely covered while visiting there?

It doesn't sound as though you have the $60 Canada/US Roaming plan offered between July and November of 2019. Do you have an older US Roaming plan? If yes and it has no data component and you feel you would need data rather than relying on free wifi then adding a US Roaming data add on would be prudent.
For more info on US Roaming add ons read this post and the update post for the latest info...

The customer is aware that an add-on on is needed and is asking which add-on is needed, specifically whether only adding a data-on on would result in ful coverage or not.

To answer your question, we would need to know which plan you have. Public Mobile did once offer a plan that includd usage in the U.S. However, most plans, probably including yours don't include calling and text in the U.S., but rather include calling and texting to the U.S. (from Canada). In that case, you would need a roaming add-on that includes calling, texting, and data.
