US Roaming is it too late to add

Hello...

My folks are in the united states and would like to add a US Roaming package.   Problem is, they Can't Log In because their 2-step verification isn't working as they're already in the US and without the roaming package aren't receiving calls/messages.    

Is there any workaround here (meaning can they access their account without 2 step V?) ... or are they pooched until they return home?

They should be able to receive text as well, even without a roaming add on. Is their phone on and connected to T-Mobile?

Unfortunately the only options we get when letting the code expire, or asking for a new code, is another text or voicemail.  No email options.  Too bad -- that would have been a perfect solution.

Even without a roaming package you can still receive texts for free in the US, so they should be able to receive their 2FA code. Just make sure they're connected to T-Mobile, or if that doesn't work AT&T.

Failing that you can click resend code a handful of times and you'll eventually get an option to send the code to email.

If they are connected to either T-Mobile or AT&T they should be able to receive texts. I wonder if the 2fa doesn't go through in this case. If they are using an iphone are they able to receive real sms texts when in Canada?|
Do you know if they had already gone through the set up of the new login system?
If they know their 4 digit account pin then they can dial 611 and make a payment using their registered card and then buy a roaming add-on.
You could also do this by dialing 1-855-4pu-blic and use their 4 digit account pin.

They can receive code by email. 

Click on: ‘Didn’t get a code’ and you will get more options.

If you can log in to their account, you can add that add-on.

how long will they be in USA ? Might be better to get a local sim and a cheap US plan. The PM roaming add-on only lasts for 360 hrs after successfully purchased.
