US Roam addon with NO Talk/Text/Data?

Need a few days of US Roam for my son travelling to US for a NEW account with new sim card.

He doesn't need the line in Canada, only need it in US.

Can we sign up 30 Day with No talk, No Text, No Data but only Addon $15 US Talk and Text Bundle?

Thanks for the update. I think it is a mute point anyway as I think the system now blocks any attempt to create an account with no services. It certainly does prevent that if you try from within your self serve account.

@wakka88 Given that info a data only add-on $30 (SIM + data add-on) should be plenty with a Google Hangouts account https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.google.android.talk  plus a texting app, perhaps Facebook Messenger.

If you are willing to use US Roaming with Data package only, it's not necessary to have any base plan. For other US Roaming plans which include the Talk or Text, you need to purchase a base plan.

We could help more if you tell a bit more of what he needs he has; e.g. just staying in touch with you, able to talk/text friends in Canada & USA; watching videos; using Google maps; etc.

My grandson travelled to China and in the end simply made do with wifi connectivity.

Oh, and where is he travelling? And the phone MUST be unlocked.

Best read the fine print; I'm pretty sure you need calling in the base plan to use a "talk" add-on.

No. A base plan with calling and texting is required for that add-on. Try https://www.knowroaming.com, or https://personal.iroam.com for pay as you go. Good chance he would be better served by getting a local SIM, unless he can get by with wifi and  Google Hangouts for free Canada/US calling.
